THE RIGHT CARE FOR YOUR HAIR TYPE

Those who have wavy hair prefer straight hair and those who have straight hair prefer wavy hair. Almost all women and men know this problem. Curly hair cannot be magically transformed into permanently straight hair. However, with the right care according to your hair structure, you can get the best out of your hair. This way you can care for your hair to make it shine and the best version of itself.

WHAT HAIR TYPES ARE THERE?

Hair can be more precisely determined using three parameters: hair type, structure and condition.

HAIR TYPES - STRAIGHT, FRIZZY OR CURLY?

STRAIGHT HAIR

Straight hair has a beautiful natural shine, but usually has little volume. Straight hair in particular can be difficult to handle because its smooth surface means it easily slips through your fingers.

CURLY HAIR

The surface of curly hair is roughened. This means that it releases and absorbs moisture more quickly than straight hair. Has it ever happened to you that your hair has become very curly in high humidity? Then it could be that you tend to have frizzy hair. Curly hair swells up and curls as a result. It also tends to be dry because it releases moisture more quickly.

CURLY HAIR

Hair that is naturally curly or has strong waves loses moisture more quickly because the curvature of the hair means that the cuticle layer does not lie flat. The hair is more sensitive to climate and weather conditions. This makes it more prone to frizz.

HAIR STRUCTURE – FINE, NORMAL OR THICK?

FINE HAIR

Fine hair has a diameter of less than 0.06 millimeters and usually has a smooth surface. This makes it look particularly smooth. It usually has a natural shine and feels soft. However, it often lacks volume.

THICK HAIR

Thick hair sometimes feels like string when you roll it between your fingers because it is over 0.08 millimeters thick. Its surface is usually roughened, which means it loses moisture more quickly. This makes it look brittle. Thick hair is so strong that it is often difficult to style.

NORMAL HAIR

Hair with a normal thickness has a diameter of around 0.06 to 0.08 millimeters. With the right hair care, it is quite easy to style due to its structure. It is harder and more resilient than fine hair and softer than thick hair. However, as a mixed type, it can have problems with both fine and thick hair. It can appear lifeless and hang down flat or be very dry.

HAIR CONDITION - DRY, DAMAGED OR OILY?

DRY HAIR

When hair is dry, the outermost layer of the cuticles is roughened. This means that the hair usually looks dull and feels brittle. The problem here is that the hair is not supplied with enough moisture from the roots.

DAMAGED HAIR

Damaged hair is often lumped together with dry hair. Just like dry hair, damaged hair lacks moisture and has a higher porosity. The problem here, however, is external influences such as styling, coloring, high levels of sunlight, dry heating air and cold.

OILY HAIR

Oily hair looks oily again shortly after washing. The scalp of people with oily hair produces more sebum than that of others. Reasons for this can be, for example, diet or hormonal changes.

WHICH HAIR CARE IS SUITABLE FOR MY HAIR TYPE?

Depending on your hair type, your hair care should be tailored to your individual needs. This will make your hair shine beautifully and look strong.
