Simply grab any shampoo, rinse it out with water and your hair is done? No way. Washing your hair may seem like the most normal thing in the world, but there are a few things to consider. Every move you make should be carefully considered.
HOW TO WASH YOUR HAIR CORRECTLY
Whether in the shower or over the wash basin: First, wet your hair completely with lukewarm water. The warmth of the water opens the cuticle layer of the hair slightly, so that the fragrances and active ingredients of your cleaning and care product can have a deeper effect. Don't forget to wet your scalp with the water too. This opens the pores and makes the skin more receptive to the subsequent care.
Then put a small dab of shampoo in the palm of your hand. Let the product lather up a bit and then massage it carefully into the roots of your hair. Only then is it time for the lengths of your hair. A subsequent exposure time of around one to two minutes is optimal so that the ingredients and the cleaning surfactants of the product can spread through your hair and scalp and take effect.
Then rinse the shampoo out thoroughly with plenty of lukewarm water. If your hair is dry, oily or flaky, you can repeat the process. Finally, rinse again with cold water so that the cuticle of the hair closes again.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SHAMPOO IS IMPORTANT
When choosing your hair cleaning and care products, you shouldn't leave anything to chance. The most important preparations for washing your hair are shampoo, rinse or conditioner and plenty of lukewarm water. However, the type of conditioner and shampoo you use depends on your hair type. If you have split ends or brittle tips, for example, your hair should be cared for richly and with nutrients. Special substances are used to repair and smooth the broken tips. This will give your hair back its natural shine. If you have dry hair, you are well advised to use moisturizing shampoos and care products. This will make your hair appear smoother, healthier and shinier.
TIP FOR WASHING YOUR HAIR CORRECTLY:
You can also prevent split ends from forming again by patting your hair dry with a soft towel instead of rubbing it dry as usual. Also make sure not to comb your hair with a fine-toothed comb, but rather use a wide-toothed comb - or better yet, a brush. This protects the hair structure and prevents split ends and hair breakage.
DANDY SCALP DUE TO WRONG CARE PRODUCTS?
If you suffer from flaky, cracked or red scalp, you can find gentle relief. Make sure your scalp is well moisturized before, during and after washing your hair. A high-quality honey or melon shampoo will help soothe the skin and restore balance. We can also highly recommend our popular shampoo if you have an irritated scalp. Leave the product on for a few minutes after washing your hair and then rinse it out with water that is not too cold. Hot water does increase blood flow to the scalp, but it can also cause irritation and dry skin.
Using the wrong hair dye is another factor that causes flaky scalp. It is best to opt for natural hair dyes if you want to change your hair color.
TIP FOR OPTIMAL HAIR WASHING:
Assuming that it has only been a few weeks since you last dyed your hair, you are well advised to only dye the roots and not the entire length. This will protect the tips, prevent split ends and also prevent your sensitive scalp from coming into contact with chemical substances again.
THE PROVEN HOME REMEDY
It doesn't matter whether you have short or long hair: washing your hair too often dries out your hair and scalp. Women with oily hair are best advised to use a shampoo with a soothing effect. This reduces sebum production to a certain extent and calms the scalp again. If you want to treat yourself to something particularly good, use the classic: birch water was used by our grandmothers when they wanted to give their hairstyle a pleasant scent and pamper their scalp with moisture. Put a few drops of birch water in the palms of your hands and spread the wonderfully fragrant liquid generously and with great devotion over your entire head. You will literally feel how good it feels!
THE GOLDEN BARLEY JUICE
Did you know that your hair loves beer? In fact, it will shine wonderfully after washing if you spread a bottle of the barley gold over your hair and gently massage it in with your fingers. Don't worry that the beer in your hair will smell unpleasant later. That's exactly not the case. Instead, look forward to silky, shiny, fresh hair and a healthy scalp that feels great.
Every woman who wants voluminous hair should be careful when choosing her hair cleaning products. Look for shampoos, rinses and conditioners that are perfectly suited to your hair type. This way, you can be sure that your hair and scalp are optimally cared for right from the start.
